Application test for BA degree programmes
Bachelor’s application tests are generally conducted online. To ensure fairness and transparency, you will be supervised by us via Microsoft Teams. You do not have the necessary technical equipment available or you simply prefer to take the test “offline”? We also offer you the possibility to take the Bachelor’s application test on-site at at our premises. To do so, please simply select one of the offered on-site dates.
The bachelor’s application test includes the following test areas:
- Personality structure
- Intelligence structure

You have a maximum processing time for completing the entire test, which ranges from 230 to 270 minutes depending on the subject area. You will be informed about the exact duration at the beginning of the test.
The application test begins with the personality structure test, which will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Answer the questions honestly and quickly so that you have enough time to complete the intelligence structure test.
In the test area “intelligence structure”, different criteria will be assessed, depending on the selected degree programme, such as fluid and crystalline intelligence, text comprehension, visual processing and quantitative thinking. The intelligence structure test is adaptive which means that the difficulty of the tasks adapts to your performance. So don’t be discouraged by difficult tasks, they are an indication that you are well on your way to achieving a good result.
Online Bachelor's application test
To complete the online Bachelor’s application test you need:
- a stable internet connection
- a computer (laptop or stand PC) with a suitable internet browser
- a mobile phone with a camera for the Microsoft Teams Meeting; alternatively, a webcam connected to the computer that can be positioned appropriately.
We recommend using the latest version of one of the following browsers for the online Bachelor’s application test:

NOTE: The use of older browser versions can lead to problems with the online Bachelor’s application test!
To get started with the Microsoft Teams meeting, you need to install the Microsoft Teams app on your device in advance. ( Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Desktopversion). Of course, you can also join the Microsoft Teams Meeting via the web browser.
You will receive the link for the Microsoft Teams meeting by email two days before the application test date. You can call up this link upon receipt to test your technical conditions in advance. You do not need to start or attend the meeting to do this. Simply activate the sliders next to the camera and next to the audio to check your functions.

If you would also like to prepare yourself for the Bachelor’s application test, you can find suitable literature on the test area “intelligence structure” in any good bookshop or there are many free online tests with comparable questions available on the internet. You cannot really prepare for the test area of personality structure, however.
During the test, please ensure that you have access to the email address you provided during the application process at all times and that you are alone and undisturbed in the room while taking the online Bachelor’s application test.
Please position your mobile phone or webcam diagonally behind you so that the test supervisor can see both, your work area and your screen. Use the following examples as a guide:

Please join the Microsoft Teams meeting 15 minutes before your selected appointment. You will find the relevant link in the email sent two days before the test. Use your first and last name to join Microsoft Teams and keep your camera and microphone turned off at the beginning.
After a short welcome and introduction, you will be automatically assigned to a virtual examination room in Microsoft Teams. Now activate your microphone and camera, have your photo ID ready and wait for further instructions from your test supervisor. He*she will then check your identity and the positioning of your camera. The microphone and camera must remain activated during the entire online Bachelor’s application test, and the camera position must not be changed.
After all test participants have been checked, the link to the application test will be sent to the e-mail address you provided in your application ( aufnahmetest@campus02.at, subject: Ihr Link zum Online-Aufnahmetest (Your link to the online application test).
If you do not receive an email, please also check your spam folder. If you do not find anything there either, please contact your test supervisor via the chat.
Please start the online test by clicking on the link in the email only when the test supervisor explicitly asks you to do so. This will then open automatically in your browser. Do you have problems opening the link? Please copy it into the address bar of your browser and press the Enter key.
The Bachelor’s application test will take approximately three hours from this point onwards. A reasonably swift pace is recommended.
You are only allowed to take notes on the mathematical text questions.
During the application test, you can only ask questions to the test supervisor via the chat function.
After completing the online Bachelor’s application test, the corresponding browser window closes automatically and your application test will be saved in the system.
After completing the Bachelor’s application test, you still have 1 week to complete your documents online.
On-site Bachleor's application test

Please be on-site 30 min before the start of the Bachelor’s application test.
After a short introduction in the main hall, your photo ID will be checked again before you enter the lecture hall. In the lecture hall, the test supervisor will assign you to your workstation.
The Bachelor’s application test will take approximately three hours from this point onwards. A reasonably swift pace is recommended.
You are only allowed to take notes on the mathematical text questions.
After completing the test, contact your test supervisor and leave the lecture hall.
After completing the Bachelor’s application test, you still have 1 week to complete your documents online.

The application test for BA degree programmes includes testing of the following areas:

The aspects tested in the area of “intelligence structure” depend on the degree programme you are applying for and include different criteria. If you are applying for more than one degree programme, you only have to take the application test once. The application test is comprised in a way that you are tested on all criteria relevant to the degree programmes you have applied for.
If you are applying for another degree programme after you have taken the application test for the first one, you might have to retake some parts of the test.
No, the application test for BA degree programmes includes testing of your personality structure and intelligence structure. The application test for MA degree programmes includes testing of your personality structure in professional situations and possibly of field-specific competences.
The actual BA application test lasts approximately 3 hours.
During online tests, a short general introduction and verification of your identity and camera position in the respective virtual examination room will take place beforehand. So expect a total duration of approx. 3,5 to 4 hours.
For on-site tests, you should also expect a total duration of approximately 3,5 to 4 hours.
The BA application test is primarily conducted online via Microsoft Teams. If you do not have the necessary technical equipment at your disposal or if you simply prefer to take the test offline, we also offer you the option of taking the Bachelor’s application test on-site at CAMPUS 02. To do so, simply select one of the offered on-site dates.
For the on-site application at CAMPUS 02, please have a photo ID ready. We recommend having something to drink with you as the test will take a couple of hours.
If you do your BA application test online, in addition to the photo ID, please have loose sheets of paper, writing tools ready and have something to drink at hand, if necessary. Please also make sure in advance that you have the necessary technical equipment and that your camera is set up correctly for the online BA application test.
If you would also like to prepare for the BA application test, you can find suitable literature on the test area “intelligence structure” in any good bookstore or there are many free online tests with comparable questions available on the internet.
You cannot really prepare for the area of personality structure, however.
The application test results are transferred to the office of the degree programme you applied for within 14 days. However, the results of the application test will not be made known to you until the entire application process has been completed (summer/fall). A separate enquiry on your part is not necessary. In case of acceptance, we will give you a detailed test report with your results as part of the enrolement process or, in case of rejection, we will upload the results to your application file for your withdrawal.
We will provide you with your application test results in the form of an automatically generated and standardised report. However, the results of the application test will not be made known to you until the entire application process has been completed (summer/fall). A separate enquiry on your part is not necessary. In case of acceptance, we will give you a detailed test report with your results as part of the enrolement process or, in case of rejection, we will upload the results to your application file for your withdrawal.
What will happen after the application test depends on your results and the degree programme you have applied for. After completing the BA application test, you still have 1 week to complete your application documents online. Usually, applicants receive an e-mail inviting them to the interview.
However, applicants for the Bachelor Degree Programme in Marketing & Sales, will either be invited to the interview, be denied a study place or be put on the waiting list for the interview shortly after the application test.
