Digitalisation confronts companies in all industries with major challenges. These challenges can only be mastered through a structured, systematic approach.

The Interreg AT-HU project “IMPROVE!” is dedicated to this topic and seeks to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the border region Austria / Hungary in their digitalisation projects. The aim is to connect organisations that are committed to digital transformation on both sides of the border.

This should enable knowledge exchange and cross-border interaction between the different organisations.

The project focuses on the following activities:

1) Service portfolio digitalisation
2) Methodology for measuring the technological maturity of companies
3) Pilot actions and a case study catalogue related to digitalisation
4) Expansion of the digitalisation network

  • In the first step of the project, the project consortium will develop a joint service portfolio with digitalisation competences in which SMEs can be supported within the project.
  • Furthermore, a common methodology for measuring the technological maturity and digital potential of companies will be developed. This methodology will be used to evaluate companies with regard to their level of digitalisation and to advise them on digitalisation opportunities.
  • In the third step of the project, companies can apply for the implementation of concrete digitalisation projects with support of the project consortium. In addition, already implemented pilot projects as well as success stories of companies will be documented in a case study catalogue so that other companies in the programme area can also benefit from the newly acquired know-how.
  • Finally, the already established digitalisation network will be expanded and internationalised by involving even more stakeholders

The project consortium consists of the following partners:

Hungary

  • Pannon Business Network Association (Lead Partner)

Austria

  • CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences
  • PROFACTOR GmbH
  • FOTEC Research and Technology Transfer
  • Research Burgenland GmbH
