The development of a business model for strategic controlling of Intellectual Property (IP) in SMBs
In an innovative environment and in times of knowledge economy, the transfer of know how is a central factor for a company’s competitiveness. The business model developed in the course of the research project EraSME aims to integrate IP into the business management of SMBs and to raise greater awareness for immaterial property and its significance as tradable resources. By using this business model, companies are supported at an early stage in development and implementation of a sustainable IP strategy to gain a competitive edge and therefore are increasing their chances of using IP to their advantage on the market. The project therefore contributes to strengthening SMBs in an increasingly competition-oriented environment.
