The research project STRATIM (Strategic Innovation Management) served to develop an approach applicable to SMBs that enables SMBs to professionally and strategically manage innovations by selecting the appropriate tools and methods. The approach is not limited to generating new products and services, but also applies to the strategic management of businesses. The outcome of the research project was a highly successful universal and systematic innovation process that meets the objectives set by companies through the appropriate selection and adaption of methods and tools in a way that a great number of strategically conform innovation ideas can be generated with appropriate effort (approx. 5 team days, depending on the conditions set by the company).
