Accommodation

As a traditional student city boasting four universities, two universities of applied sciences and two pedagogical higher education institutions, Graz offers various types of accommodation. The 50,000 students in Graz live in student halls of residence, shared and individual flats, or have other living arrangements. International students studying at  CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences have access to the same accommodation options as Austrians.

OeAD Housing Office

The OeAD-WVGmbH provides different forms of accommodation for international students, holders of OeAD grants and guest lecturers. There are 8 OeAD student halls of residence in Graz. The deadline for housing applications is 1 June (stay starting in September) or 1 November (stay starting in February) at the latest. The earlier you send your housing application, the better your chances!

Searching Independently for Accommodation

Of course, you can also look for a flat or a room in a shared flat on your own initiative. Different search engines allow you to search according to a variety of criteria. However, this approach can only be recommended if you are spending at the very least one semester in Austria. Pay attention to terminating rental contracts and agency fees. Make sure to gather the necessary information well in advance!
