Limits for SMEs arise due to the small domestic market and due to scarce resources as well as desired higher incomes of the employees. Thus, in the future, they will be forced to open up foreign markets, for which they lack the necessary know-how, because

  1. the international market is different from the domestic market an
  2. the process of internationalisation is different for SMEs than for large companies.

The COMMON CHALLENGE is the set up of new digital solutions focused on the needs of SMEs. This will provide SMEs with a network of established digital innovation centers which will be tested with pilot tests on the Polish market. The general goal of the project is to increase the number of internationalized SMEs in the border region, focusing on companies that offer products and services in the field of Industry 4.0 or digitalisation processes.  They also must fulfill  the requirements for entering a foreign market.

The University of Applied Sciences of Carinthia, the Pomurje Technology Park from Slovenia and the companies ROBOTEH and Augmensys act as partners in this project, which will run until the end of 2022.
