The main objective of this project is to increase the number of internationally oriented SMEs in the cross-border sector. Go2 Benelux & Scandinavia stands for a joint approach to support SME internationalisation through joint cross-border initiatives and development of joint smart services. The project aims to facilitate internationalisation, smart specialisation, cross-border learning and competence development by developing transnational links between SME networks, clusters and other specialised research and innovation hubs for the benefit of their members.

Specific objectives:

  1. to strengthen the international visibility and attractiveness of the border region in Benelux and Scandinavia.
  2. to promote transnational networks, partnerships and strategic alliances between cluster organisations, companies and universities, leading to new collaborative business models, commercialised applications, products and services.
  3. developing tools to support internationalisation.
  4. enhancing innovation policy capabilities and creating added value for participating cross-border sectors of smart specialisation

The partners in this research project, which has been running since spring 2018, are the University of Applied Sciences, Carinthia, the Pomurje Technology Park from Slovenia and the companies PMS and MMS&SS. This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and aims at cross-border cooperation between Slovenia and Austria.
