R&D Award 2017

For the first time, during the R&D Day in 2017, the R&D Award was presented to the most outstanding R&D project carried out between 2015 and 2017. The award aims to recognise outstanding achievements in research and development and to encourage further efforts on these projects.

In total, 6 R&D projects were nominated for the award. The development of an unmanned transport system for the C-parts management of Magna Steyr was announced as the best project. The winning team around R&D Coordinator Dieter Lutzmayr from the Degree Programmes in Automation Technology have continued their work on this successful project.

Our videos of the top three projects give an insight into their fields of research and demonstrate the benefits they deliver for the industry.
