General Terms and Conditions
for events at CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences

 

1. Scope of application

The present General Terms and Conditions for Events at CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences (hereafter “General Terms and Conditions”) apply to fee-based events offered by CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences (hereafter “CAMPUS 02”). By registering for an event, the Participant expressly agrees with the present Terms and Conditions and is bound to them. Any agreements deviating from these Terms and Conditions shall be defined in writing.

 

2. Registration

Registration for an event takes place in written form, by fax or online on CAMPUS 02’s website www.campus02.at within the agreed registration period. Registration is made legally binding once a confirmation of registration is sent to the Participant via email or by post. Registrations are considered in the chronological order of their arrival and according to the available places for participants.

 

3. Attendance fee

Attendance fees exclude VAT. The respective invoices are issued plus VAT.

 

4. Changes in programme/Event cancellation

Due to long-term planning of events, CAMPUS 02 reserves the right to apply organisational changes to the programme such as changes of date, starting time and speakers as well as event cancellations. The Participant is informed appropriately and on time. Such changes do not result in refunding of incurred costs and compensation for other claims by CAMPUS 02. In the event of cancellation, the already paid registration fee is refunded without any deductions.

 

5. Cancellation of registration

If Participants are unable to attend, the registration will be considered cancelled by CAMPUS 02 by written notification only. If attending the event is not possible, cancellation is free of charge until 14 calendar days before the start of the event (the date on which the cancellation was received is decisive). In this case, already paid registration fees are refunded without any deductions. If cancellation occurs within 14 calendar days before the event, cancellation fee amounts to 50 % of the registration fee. Cancellations at any later time or failure of appearance, results in cancellation fees of 100 % of the registration fee. Replacements can be named anytime and free of charge.

 

6. Right of revocation

If Participants, as per meaning of the Consumer Protection Law (Konsumentenschutzgesetz, KSchG), register via telephone, internet, email, etc., they have the right to revoke the contract within 14 calendar days in written form and without specifying an reasons upon receiving confirmation of registration. In order to safeguard the revocation period, it is sufficient to send the revocation on time (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays included).

7. Consequences of the revocation

If the contract is revoked, all payments are immediately repaid the latest within 14 days from the day, on which the notification of revocation arrives. The fee is repaid in the same means of transaction that were used for the original transaction by the Participant, unless expressly agreed otherwise. In no event are Participants levied any charge for repayment.

If the Participant agreed that the services commence during the revocation period, an appropriate fee is charged that equals to the amount of services already provided by the time the Participant informs CAMPUS 02 about exercising the right of contract revocation and in comparison to the total scope of services defined by the contract.

The Participant does not have right of revocation, if on the basis of express demands by the Participant according to § 10 Distance Selling Act (Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz, FAGG) and knowledge of the loss of the right of revocation upon complete contract fulfilment before the expiry of the revocation period confirmed by the Participant, the services have commenced and been completed.

 

8. Copyright law

CAMPUS 02 remains proprietor of the protection and copyright laws valid during the time of the event. It is not permitted to reproduce, process, multiply, distribute or use parts of documents and other media created before, during or after a CAMPUS 02 event in public without authorisation. The rights of third parties concerning documents or other media used within the scope of the contract remain the property of the respective owner.

 

9. Data protection

CAMPUS 02 ensures that personal data acquired during the event registration is treated as confidential and solely used in accordance with data protection laws and regulations. This data is stored and used by CAMPUS 02 for internal processing, documentation purposes and marketing activities. Customer data is not forwarded to third parties, unless it is absolutely necessary for an orderly fulfilment of the contract.

 

10. Liability

CAMPUS 02 is only liable for damages in cases of wilful intent or gross negligence by its staff members. The right to demand compensation in cases of slight negligence is excluded. This does not apply to injuries. CAMPUS 02 assumes no liability regarding personal items of participants and provided documents.

 

11. Jurisdiction

The contract shall be governed by Austrian Law. Place of exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in relation to this contract is Graz, Austria as long as § 15 of the Consumer Protection Law does not apply.
