Academic vocational training

© FH CAMPUS 02/Leitner

To meet your demands as lecturers at CAMPUS 02, we have developed the following range of tailored academic vocational training:

What do I have to look out for when planning a course unit? How do I formulate learning goals in a way that they can be checked? Which methods and media can I use to support students in an ideal way?

The series of seminars “Practical Introduction into Academic Didactics” provides answers to these and many other questions concerning the pedagogical, didactical design of your course unit.

The series of seminars is always offered during the winter semester in cooperation with the University College of Teacher Education Styria (Pädagogische Hochschule Steiermark). In 5 compact modules, fundamental and scientifically sound knowledge is developed in the area of academic didactics. The content ranges from theoretical basics, applied teaching methods and media didactics to the basics of performance assessment. The content of the series of seminars is complemented by final training in practical teaching behaviour.

Additional elective modules offer the opportunity for individual in-depth training.

The programme is equivalent to from 1.5 ECTS credits (excl. elective modules) to 2 ECTS credits (incl. elective modules) and consists of 7 and/or 9 units and 2 self-study phases.

Participation is free of charge for all lecturers active at CAMPUS 02!

Without modern technologies, our world would not work the way it does today. This is no different for study environments. But what does CAMPUS 02 offer? How do Moodle, Smartboards, MyElisa, etc. work? And how can I integrate these things into my course unit and especially in a meaningful way?

In 4 compact modules, we offer you answers to these and other questions with our series of seminars “Teaching with technologies @ CAMPUS 02”.

The series of seminars is offered once every winter and summer semester. In the sense of an introduction to ITs, you are not just given the opportunity to get familiar with the technical infrastructure at CAMPUS 02, but are also provided with impulses for using different technologies in your course unit in the most didactical way. The modules do not have to be booked as a package, but can be booked individually too.

Participation is free of charge for all lecturers active at CAMPUS 02!

In today’s world we are expected to communicate our knowledge and ideas in the English language – both in the office and lecture halls. But how can I present information professionally and guide groups effectively in English? How do I give feedback in English? And what do I have to pay attention to when discussing in English?

In our seminar series Teaching in English @ FH CAMPUS 02 you will refresh your English grammar skills and will be equipped with the expressions and the vocabulary that is used in presentations and other teaching scenarios. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to practice speaking and become more self-confident in communicating and teaching in English.

The series of seminars is divided into 4 compact modules. The modules do not have to be booked as a package, but can be booked individually too. Every module consists of a unit that must be attended and a distance e-learning phase (approx. 3-4 hours of workload within approx. 2-3 weeks).

Participation is free of charge for all active lecturers at CAMPUS 02!

In addition, we are happy to inform you on external offers in the area of academic vocational training and education programmes and provide support for finding the right training for you. A selection of external training materials can be found in our Intranet.
