International

In an increasingly globalised world, people who have notched up work experience abroad are very much in demand. International experience facilitates vocational and personal further development, an improved knowledge of foreign languages, and an understanding of other cultures, not to mention the forging of degree-related and vocation-relevant international contacts.
We encourage student mobility in the form of study visits and work placements. Furthermore, due to the strong emphasis placed on part-time degree programmes for working professionals, we also provide alternative mobility opportunities to students who are unable to spend at least 3 months abroad: summer schools, study trips and language trips.

Study Trip

In the course of their studies, students have the opportunity to take part in a study trip. The degree programme selects the destination in consultation with its students and in compliance with the following conditions: The desired university should be located in Europe and be a CAMPUS 02 partner university or can become one.

Language Trip

Each year CAMPUS 02 invites all students to participate in a language trip, for which a maximum of 24 places are available. This mobility measure is subsidised by our very own grant.

More information can be found here.

Summer Schools

CAMPUS 02 supports its students’ participation in selected summer schools by means of its own grant (for detailed information, please consult the Guidelines for Mobility Grants.

The various opportunities on offer give you the chance to develop your technical knowledge, whilst improving your linguistic skills and expanding your intercultural experience horizons. The relatively short duration of this type of secondment abroad means that it is also attractive for working professionals studying extra-occupational degree programmes.

The Degree Programme in Automation Technology is proud to announce that Bachelor student Thomas Taucher has successfully taken part in a summer school in China in 2014.

CHINA-KNOW-HOW-2014 is a summer school in China which gives interested students a chance to gain insights into a new culture and a different political, economic and legal system. The title of this summer school is “Modern China Studies for Scientists and Economists” and takes place at the Peking University in Beijing and at the Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

I have chosen this Summer School to satisfy my needs for international experience and to enhance my personal growth. China is a very interesting country from an economical and cultural point of view. For this reason, I could not miss the opportunity to see this country from the perspective of a student.

I made a short video of my China trip which can be seen at the following link: https://vimeo.com/110024559

Finally, I would like to mention that I am very satisfied with the organization of the Summer School. I got a good insight into Chinese culture, history, politics and many more interesting topics. I have made many new contacts with friendly colleagues and I have seen successful companies and universities in China.

Internship abroad or study abroad

Studying or doing an internship abroad is a valuable opportunity for students to change perspectives, grow with new tasks, acquire foreign language skills or to immerse in a foreign culture. During your time abroad, you will make friends, maybe even for a lifetime. These new friendships do not just represent a valuable private network, but also a professional and international one.

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is currently the most comprehensive scholarship programme for studying and training abroad. As an educational programme of the EU it supports people of all ages across Europe looking for promotional learning opportunities. With Erasmus+ students can study at a European institution of higher education for 3 to 12 months without having to lose regular study time or pay study fees. In a 2 to 12 months Erasmus+ internship, interns and trainees are given the unique opportunity to acquire new specialist knowledge and professional competences as well as the skills involved with adapting to new surroundings. Erasmus+ also offers the opportunity to hone language skills, acquire intercultural competences, establish relations with higher education institutions, companies and make new friends from all around Europe.
