E-Service Pricing and Service Price Controlling

Contact: Thomas Winkler, CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences

There is great demand for tools that can help businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with their service pricing activities. The main aim of this project is thus to develop a model for e-service pricing and service price controlling as well as applicable tools that are tailored to the specific characteristics and requirements of SMEs.

For this purpose, existing concepts and tools from the fields represented in the project team are analysed and then used to develop criteria and partial solutions for new tools. In a theory-driven developmental process, these criteria and solutions are subsequently combined into an overarching framework and IT-based demonstrators or prototypes are developed for the new tools to make them useful for SMEs. The demonstrators or prototypes are then tested and evaluated in a pilot setting.

The developed model and tools will enable SMEs to effectively and efficiently place services and innovations on the market, which, in turn, will improve their competitiveness and greatly contribute to their performance and economic development.
